Ski touring under the stars
For those who have dreamt of trying out ski touring but have never actually taken the plunge, Les Menuires' ESF (French Ski School) will take you ski-touring under the stars. A nocturnal trail at an easy-going pace (272m difference in altitude) up as far as the Lac du Lou Mountain refuge. Upon arrival, some well-deserved drinks and snacks will be served by Yannick, the refuge keeper, who also provides an optional alpine meal, upon request. Then you will ski back down on a freshly-groomed slope. Thrills guaranteed!
This year, we are even more committed to protecting the environment and are the first French resort to have joined the international association Protect Our Winters. What have we done so far? We have set up an in situ/in vivo climate change observatory, an authentic, open-air laboratory with a special place reserved by the resort for scientists who want to work on this important issue.
Chalet 2000 is the new, charming location that includes 5 luxury apartments, from 67m2 to 156m2, made from wood and traditional stone, with south-west facing balconies and overlooking Lou Valley.
CGH Chalets du Soleil are ideal for those who love group holidays, as they are made up of large apartments (for up to 15 people), so you can be spread out across the two large "contemporary" or "authentic" chalets, with your skis at the ready.
Belambra Club Selection Les Bruyères for all-inclusive holidays: tasty buffets, a kids' club for children aged 3-5 all season long and children aged 6-17 during French school holidays, a fun, family-friendly après ski at the end of the day, luggage storage, individual ski lockers, outdoor seating area, a solarium and direct access to the slopes.
